I was planning to read each of the books in the series, but later on watching the anime (which covers the first v volumes) I decided to just get ahead and skip to volume 6 since I was feeling impatient. This volume was great, and I run into why some people say why the get-go five volumes are really simply the beginning of this series. I think the author himself says this in the afterward as well.

I was planning to read each of the books in the series, just afterward watching the anime (which covers the first five volumes) I decided to only go alee and skip to volume half dozen since I was feeling impatient. This volume was great, and I see why some people say why the first v volumes are really just the offset of this series. I think the author himself says this in the later as well.

Personally, affiliate ii was my favorite by far, but affiliate five was corking likewise despite at that place being loads of activeness, but the quick viewpoint shifts kept me pretty engaged and the catastrophe was pretty fun.

I oasis't said likewise much nearly the writing and obvious typos and such these books accept had, but some things were a chip annoying in their inconsistently. The first two chapters are well-nigh entirely told from Bell's perspective, and they're in present tense. Then the volume goes into past tense, even when going back into Bell'south bespeak of view, which is odd. Some other thing is that there's page breaks in between viewpoint shifts for most of this book, but in the subsequently sections a lot of those page breaks disappear and we're jumping around in peoples heads very frequently without much of an indication for the reader, which is a little confusing.

I last thing is that despite Bell getting the first two capacity primarily to himself, I wish there had been more scenes from his signal of view. At times it seems like we become every point of view that isn't Bell, and he's the master character.

Those bug aside, I rather enjoyed the story, and story wise, I give this book five stars.

Certainly the all-time of the mainline novels thus far. Big things happen in this book. Bigger than the other volumes. Not simply to Bong just the people around him. I can't talk about information technology too specifically without spoiling things. I know in that location is a spoiler tag, but that would cover pretty much everything.

There are some really great grapheme moments, some really fantastic familia moments, and some really big happenstance in this one. Ahh, I am sitting hither wanting to tell yous all about it but as well fight

Verdict: The first five volumes are good and give y'all a solid introduction to the characters and world... merely if you felt like the serial hadn't actually gotten very far -- read on since this i kicks it into loftier gear!

At the end of book five of this series, the god Apollo was doing some creepy planning for something about Bong Cranell, and in this volume we observe out just what that is. He wants Bell for his own, and to that end, sets upwardly our young charlatan and so that he can lay merits to him in a War Game. At the end of book 5 of this series, the god Apollo was doing some creepy planning for something most Bell Cranell, and in this book nosotros detect out just what that is. He wants Bell for his ain, and to that finish, sets up our young adventurer and so that he can lay merits to him in a War Game. Of course, Hestia refuses, as she is outmatched literally a 100 to 1.

The thing is that Apollo is non a squeamish god, and has no notion of restraint when he wants something. He will practice what he has to do to get his centre's desire. Even if information technology means engaging in some pretty vile actions. To this end, he relentlessly chases downward and tries to harm Bell and Hestia, until Hestia relents and challenges him to a State of war Game. Thrilled at his inevitable (to him) victory, Apollo doesn't realize he will actually regret his choices.

This book is the showtime to tell the story beyond the thirteen episode anime adaptation, which covered the first five books of the series. Here we see what could be seen every bit the first "arc" (the founding and expansion of Hestia Familia) completed after vi books.

I tin't become into much more of what I hateful without major spoilers, merely it's actually absurd.

This is the most activeness-packed story and so far in the series, fifty-fifty more so than volume five. From about a 3rd of the way through onward, the action just doesn't stop for more than than a short and brief period of time. Literally half the book is fight sequences. They are really well-written to the point that I could wing through them, when ordinarily I don't like uninterrupted action scenes.

The furthering of the mythology of the story, with subtle hints here and at that place, was likewise nifty, was was the clear fleshing out of Bell's and Aiz'due south growing relationship and the realization of the tensions it tin can cause between their Familias.

Really, other than making things a bit likewise pat and easy by creating an easy enemy to blame in Lilly'due south function of the story, at that place isn't anything I can complain virtually when information technology comes to volume vi of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon. The cast of characters that aid Hestia, Welf, and Lilly are fun to encounter come together for a common purpose. I tin't say anything across that vagueness without giving away the plot, but it's actually fun to read, because it shows united states of america more facets to the characters, god and follower both.

Highly Recommended for fans of this series or fantasy in general.

The story is starting to really have off.

This story was very intense. There was action around every corner. This is the first book the actually takes place outside the dungeon. I personally like information technology. I promise it is a sign of what is to come considering it means a expanded view of the world. I want to see how far Bell can go. The family is finally growing in more means then i. While I cannot await for the side by side one I have to.

Good story.

Very good sequence on the series. Character progress is great and I like the manner the've been evolving. Likewise I like the way the author didn't waste time to extend the story and brand this i very dynamic.

Not one human foot is placed inside the dungeon this volume but that doesn't brand information technology a filler or a tiresome volume because while nosotros don't fight against monsters we go dandy fights against a different familia.

Besides nifty pacing we also get some more time with the other characters. Lily, Welf and Mikoto to name the large ones. While I actually similar Bong as a character it is e'er nice to get to know what really drives the other characters adventuring along side Bell.

All in all 5 stars from me and ready to start the next 1!

This story was ballsy. It was easily the best story yet. I would give it 6 stars if I could. And then much happens. Bell and Aiz dancing was crawly. Bong and Hestia existence chased through the town and attacked by over 100 people was astonishing. And so Hestia's familia grew considerably and Lily was freed from her familia. Oh man the story was full of action.

To end information technology off the story ending with an amazing war game with Bell and friends raiding a castle. Such an ballsy battle. The issue changed everything. Thursday

Very much worth reading, only...

I am enamored with the plot and characters, really loving it. The depictions of dialogue and action read quite a bit like a fan-fiction though. Non sure if that is due to translation, an attribute of the low-cal-novel genre (it is my showtime fourth dimension reading one), or what. Descriptions and inner monologue do not endure from the aforementioned effect, withal. If I could charge per unit aspects individually, I'd requite the plot and characterization v'south, and dialogue and activeness writing maybe iii's. T

Did a slap-up job building relationship between characters in the by volumes, information technology really makes it worth hardships that we lived with Bell and Hestia Familia facing it with never giving upwardly to it, I really call back that choosing to build up the story for the past v volumes really makes the critical moments that I live in this volume surprisingly Efficient on me while remembering all the hardships that they have faced until now.

Coming from the much faster paced anime, I didnt care for a lot of the excess details or people excessively praising Bell or how he was hands incited to a bar ball or things like them going out drinking booze to celebrate. Information technology felt ho-hum and boring in the city whereas I prefer the dungeon and monster battles.

i usually dont read books, but as i watched the anime i got curious. Reading through this Novel fabricated me realise how much more detail and passion these novels had. I was so into the story i didnt realise i had but finished the book.

This volume finally takes united states beyond the signal of the anime series. And it's fantastic. There are yet elements of the harem comedy well-nigh it, but the women really become a take chances to shine in their own correct. Thrilling!

Past far in many ways my favorite book and then far! Information technology took me back to when i first watched the thirteenth warrior. With the gathering of the members. The fighting was on a new level from anything previously read in the series. I pray the anime lives upwards to this volume.

Every bit with all main series danmachi books, it's a fairly piece of cake read, until I stumble into a character or scene that infuriates me and I have to terminate reading for a month or risk throwing my reader at a wall. Should I annotate on the main antagonist? Improve non, at least he is condemned past the story itself, explicitly.

Writing is better than ever. I believe even the author must have noticed how much worse the get-go pov sections were, considering at present they are virtually absent. A alter for the better. The plot seems more soloid and I similar the build ups. Shame about the inherent unfairness of the setting.

Characters are starting to sympathise each other, and you run into some satisfying conclusions to pocket-sized plot threads weaving throughout the start 5 books. The cease of this book feels like it marks a truthful beginning of chapter 1 for the serial and the end of the introduction, and the afterword by the author makes clear this is authentic. Good stuff.

For those interested, this novel picks up immediately at the cease of the first (but one right at present) anime season and goes straight from in that location. Y'all could skip the starting time 5 books, picket the testify, and be fine. But the first 5 books are quite enjoyable.

Just wow.

This is the first volume after the anime series (flavour 1, anyway) ends and information technology is spectacular! I simply couldn't put it down as I wondered what was going to happen next! Between the obvious "can't await to see what happens" to the "what are they going to do about that???" I just could not stop.

Well written, slap-up step, fantastic story, twists, turns, back story, and developments I but did not see coming (and a few I did). An amazing read!

I was so excited to read this when it came out, a new and exciting story to mix things upwards. I was a trivial surprised how information technology wrapped things upwards so quickly at the end, but practice not feel like anything was missing and am completely satisfied with this volume (exterior of a lack of Aiz). My only problem now is I have to expect several more months for volume 7!
